Race Of The Week 10th September 2026

The race of the week this week is On To Norway continuing his remarkable domination at Harrah’s Hoosier Park with another explosive performance in Saturday night’s $22,000 Open Trot.

The four-year-old has not been beaten in Indiana since April 2025, and judging by the way he disposed of his rivals this time, that streak may take some ending.

Starting from the outside barrier as the red-hot 1-5 favourite, driver John De Long was in no hurry early, allowing On To Norway to settle fifth as Ponda Jet fired to the front through a scorching :26.1 opening quarter.

Ponda Jet continued to dictate through a :55.1 half before On To Norway was brought into the race second-over behind Euguene The Genius approaching the final turn.

That was all the opportunity he needed.

As the field straightened for home, On To Norway was unleashed from cover and quickly gathered in the leaders. He stormed home in :26.4, sweeping past Ponda Jet and Flagman to win by a length in 1:51.2.

ON TO NORWAY REPLAY

The victory was his ninth from just 10 starts this season and took his career record to an extraordinary 36 wins from 43 starts, with earnings now exceeding $1.08 million.
