Outlaw Sharktastic ends long winning streak
Outlaw Sharktastic (Smart Shark) stopped the dominance of Electric Amadeus in the Fillies and Mares Preferred at Century Downs on Saturday (Apr. 8) as part of a big night for trainer/driver Nathan Sobey.

Electric Amadeus (David Kelly), entering the race with a streak of seven on the line, raced third through the opening half while Outlaw Sharktastic and Sobey pushed to the lead in fractions of :28.2 and :57.1.
Outlaw Sharktastic gave the lead up to Electric Amadeus on the backstretch but moved back out to attack just after hitting three-quarters in 1:25.2. Electric Amadeus resisted fiercely down the stretch, but Outlaw Sharktastic finished her off in the final strides to score in 1:55.3.
Electric Amadeus was a length short. Pirate Booty (Terry Kaufman) finished third.
