Harness racing hits Motukarara again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:12pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Bet:  R1    The Ivy League

Best Value:  R6   Lester

Race 1

The Ivy League (2) Raced well in age group races last year. Top selection in this field
Sheza Trendy One (10) Racing well and grass no issue. One of the major players
Alforbet (1) Tidy draw and has some good finishing speed. Needs to step but can win

 

Race 2

Field Of Poppies (11) Has raced well on the track in the past. Hard to beat with the right trip
Light Up The Fire (7) Has a bit of a reputation and trialing well. Has to rate highly here
Terror Ma Sue (4) Looked ok at recent workout. Place chance with luck at longer odds

 

Race 3

Choco Lou (6) In good form before a short freshen up Should run top three in this if fit
Gliding High (13) Getting better with racing and only needs luck to right in it here. Include
My Skatjie (4) Manners a concern but good enough to run top three in this field. Needed

 

Race 4

The Welsh Dragon (10) Disappointing last start but better than that. One for longer odds
Tanganyika (4) Ran a couple of good races here and upgrade in draws. Hard to beat
Howling Wolf (9) Has come back stronger but wide draw. Big chance with luck here.

 

Race 5

Natives Inferno (14) Likes the grass surface but draw hurts. Needs to step but good chance.
Slippery Mistress (7) Broke when last here but grass suits. Winning claims with manners
Ruthless Lizzie (6) Disappointing last start but conditions suit. Top three hope with the right trip

Race 6

Lester (11) In good form and is a good finisher. Can win at longer odds with a cart into it
Eastwood Ideal (3) Drawn well and won his only start on the course. Top three chance
Dance Till Dawn (7) Coming in fresh and been racing stronger fields. Looks a good win hope

 

Race 7

Press Play (7) Goes well on grass and is another good place chance again here. Needed
Ava Adore (12) Grass suits and finishing power to run top three with the right run in transit
Arizonawildcat (8) Normally a quick beginner and grass favoured surface. In the mix here

 

Race 8

Times Are A Changin (3) Has raced well here in the past. Top driver booked. Can win
King Arthur (7) Might go forward early and better than the form suggests. Include here
Fernz Goldy (4) Gate speed if they want to use it. Has claims if she can lead and trail

 

Race 9

Rachmaninov (1) Good here on the track in the past and steps well. Will be there about
Jesper Fast (12) Good beginner who might get handy quickly. Not the worst at longer odds
Speeding Spirit (2) Nice draw to contend with and looks the leader. Can go back to back

 

Race 10

Darby O’Gill (2) Has been racing better fields. Great chance with a soft lead in the race
Sophia Bromac (4) Might go forward early and grass suits. Top three chances in this
Jordy (1) Gate speed if they want to use it. Include in exotics from the good draw.
