Lux Aeterna rans her rivals off their legs in brilliant win
Bonny mare Lux Aeterna (Captaintreacherous) continued her revival when she gave nothing else a chance in winning the Norms Daughter Classic for mares at Menangle on Saturday night.

Showing exceptional early speed Lux Aeterna was out wide early but soon after headed off favourite Bella Danza. Driver Robert Morris tried to give the mare a breather after a first quarter in 27 seconds.
LUX AETERNA 15 AUG REPLAY
Once in front Lux Aeterna was always going to be hard to beat as she had Bella Danza’s measure on the final bend. Morris let the mare accelerate at the top of the straight and she ran out the easiest of winners over stablemate Golly Gee Fellas with Snap Shot in third place.
Her winning time of 1.50.3 was not far out from her fastest ever winning time of 1.49.4.

Ever since she burst onto the scene as a two year old back in 2023 Lux Aeterna has won a number of feature events, and as a two year old she swept all before her.
Notwithstanding she has had a somewhat chequered career with a number of setbacks but to her credit she has come back better than ever.
Trainer Rickie Alchin has indicated in the past that the mare may well be in her final year of racing and being royally bred will make her one of the country’s most valuable brood mares.
Her dam The Arch Nemesis has been a wonderful broodmare leaving such notable performers as Crunch Time and Captain Crusader who both won over half a million dollars But their efforts have been surpassed by Lux Aeterna whose earnings now exceed $756,000.
