Kurow selections 16th August 2026
Harness analyst best tips:
Best Bet: R10 Bannockburn
Best Value: R2 Classic Skye
Race 1
Gotta Lather Up (6)
Going well this campaign and has the gate speed to get into the race early. Looks one of the main chances.
Impressive Shard (2)
Trial win since his latest runs was encouraging and the draw helps. Can improve enough to run top three here.
Wavewatcher (1)
Gets his best opportunity for a while from the ace. Form needs a lift but this grade gives him a chance at odds.
Race 2
Classic Skye (4)
Forget the last start error. Trial since was better and she has enough ability to win a maiden like this with manners.
Brooks Spirit (9)
Has looked pretty smart at the trials and appears to have a decent motor. Draw the worry but has to be respected.
Worsethanted (8)
Southern trial form has been good enough to suggest he can measure up first time out. One for the combinations.
Race 3
Blu Diamond (6)
Went close at Ashburton and has been racing honestly without winning. Gets another good chance to break through.
Just Amazing (8)
Debutant who has shown enough at the trials to warrant respect. Wide gate but could be a top three hope.
Hoppy’s Smile (5)
Didn’t get everything to go her way last start. Draw is workable and she can sneak into the top three at longer odds.
Race 4
Orlando Wish (2)
Did enough on debut in a stronger Addington maiden and should be better for the experience. Hard to beat from this draw.
Dont Think Just Doo (11)
Has been doing his best work late at the trials and looks ready to race. Second row makes it tricky but has ability.
Suspicious Captain (7)
Two good efforts at Addington since resuming. Wide draw isn’t ideal but his form puts him right in this.
Race 5
Semba (8)
Gets back to a standing start and has enough class for this field. 20 metres is the test but still a big chance.
Tua Lipa (7)
Has been racing well in stronger company and looks nicely placed despite the handicap. Must be included.
Deceptive Lee (10)
Not far away in recent southern starts and usually gives a good account. One for the multiples at better odds.
Race 6
Our Evie Rae (3)
Racing much better than the results might suggest and gets a good front line position. Looks ready to go close.
Markthewarrior (12)
Fresh without a trial so fitness is the obvious question. Has the speed when right and could surprise at odds.
Help Me (7)
Was racing extremely well before the brief freshen and has trialled since. Looks one of the horses they have to beat.
Race 7
Molly Maeve Estelle (5)
Didn’t get much luck at Ashburton and her form before that was good enough. Genuine EW chance in this.
Adamas (3)
Got the job done last start and looks to be going the right way. Better field but drawn to get every chance.
Cheer The Captain (6)
Trial win suggests he is ready to go fresh. Has ability on his day and could be dangerous at a price.
Race 8
Tarragindi (10)
Clearly the class horse but has to give them 35 metres. Going too well to leave out and should be charging into it late.
Royal Del (8)
Back to his best with an Addington win and gets in on the front line here. Looks a serious winning chance.
Didn’t Di (2)
Continues to race honestly and gets a big head start on the favourite. Could take plenty of catching with a clean getaway.
Race 9
J T Boe (10)
Backed up his fresh run with a strong Addington win and looks right at his peak now. Handicap is tough but he has the motor.
Dreams Are Free (9)
Freshened since taking on good company and has had a workout since. Classy enough to be right in the finish.
Rakamurph (6)
Racing well since returning and his Addington second was good enough for this. Standing start is the query but one for odds.
Race 10
Bannockburn (11)
Very good fresh when third after doing some work and should be fitter today. Awkward draw but looks the best horse in the race.
Terrormylove (10)
Better effort at Addington last start and looks to be coming the right way. Needs some luck from the second row but can feature.
Crackle N Crunch (7)
Good fresh up third and should improve with that run behind him. Wide gate but definitely one of the stronger chances.
