Lady Cafe Au Lait Headlines Fillies & Mares Preferred
CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – A sharp group of distaff pacers line up in the Thursday evening feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park with Lady Cafe Au Lait looking to continue her strong form in the $6,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred 1.

The Thursday card gets underway at 6 P.M. with 13-dashes scheduled.
Lady Cafe Au Lait gets top billing from post 1 in race 12 for driver Paul Langille and trainer Earl Watts as the mare seeks her third straight victory for owners Matt and David Burke and Windemere Farms. Her first start in Charlottetown was a three-wide romp in 1:55.2. The daughter of Big Jim will have rail control on her quest for win number 13 of her career.
Get Answers has post 2 for trainer Landon Campbell with Marc Campbell in the seat for owner Brady Doyle of Stratford. The Lazarus N six-year-old had been racing at The Raceway At Western Fair District recently for trainer Mary Ratchford and now returns to the East Coast.
Sweet Molly leaves from post 3 with David Dowling in the bike for owners Clair Murphy, Derril Murphy and Cindy MacLean. Jennifer Doyle trains the 13-time winning daughter of Sweet Lou. She was a runner-up to Lady Café Au Lait in her most recent start.
Sugar Bowl has post 4 for owner Brian MacPhee of Mount Stewart with David O’Brien training and driving the Sweet Lou seven-year-old. The veteran mare boasts an incredible 25 wins, 24 seconds and 23 thirds from 101 lifetime starts.
Lady Devine has post 5 with Ken Murphy driving for trainer Doyle, who co-owns with Max Webster Stable of Inverness.
The Post Time Picks sides with Lady Cafe Au Lait to deliver another top effort.
“Lady Cafe Au Lait crushed her opponents in her last two starts in Ontario and has carried that momentum to P.E.I. In her first start at Red Shores, she was three-wide in the final turn and still closed in 27.3 to win. With rail control, she will most likely call the shots on the front, so I’m betting she notches her fourth straight win.”
