Karnac Wood wins Prix FFB53 at Laval

The Jean Pierre Dubois bred Karnac Wood (6m Ready Cash-Qualita Bourbon-Love You) captured  this day’s quinte+ Prix  FFB23 (35,000€  purse, 2850 meters, 16 starters ages  6-11) at Laval timed in 1.12.4kr.

The 3.7/1 odds stallion was driven by Hugues Monthule for trainer Sebastien Guarato and Ecurie Hunter Valley. He now sports 12 wins in 26 starts for 233,250€. Karnac Wood front ended his rivals and held off 6.7/1 Kiss Me Honey (6f ye Of The Storm) in rein to Louis Baudouin for trainer J.M. Baudouin and Francois Nicolle the owner.  Key  Of  Love (6f Ready Cash-Une Love Star) at 2.9/1 favorite odds was third for driver Anthony Barrier followed  by 25/1  Kemia du  Chene (6f  Bird Parker) reined by Paul  Philippe Ploquin.

Breeder  JPD trained the winner of this week’s  Oak Grove USA Open Trot  winner with the  Denmark registered  Jigger timed in  1.51.1f for the mile.  Stephane Guelpa reined this  classy  12.4/1 odds winner in the US$30,000 event.

Jigger (6g Fabulous Wood-Little Jigger-Muscle  Hill), personal  new record 1:51.1f at Oak Grove, just two fifths off the track redord.  He is from a full  sister to the champion Bar Hopping.  He sells Monday in the Preferred Equine Online event.

The same  day at Oak Grove the JPD/Guelpa team was second with Chapel (6g Karnac Wood-Beautiful Game-Muscle Hill) and also second with Hustle N Bustle (3f Walner-Hystle Heart-Credit Winner).
