Huge Wangaratta Cup meeting Sunday
The North East Fastners harness racing Wangaratta Pacing Cup meeting will be held at Avian Park Raceway in Newman St, Wangaratta, on Sunday.
Traditionally one of the most colourful country cups on the trots’ summer calendar, the Wangaratta meeting this year will feature an array of entertainment off the track as well as great racing on the raceway.
Further, giveaways galore will ensure patrons have every opportunity to walk away a winner.
DJ Steve Bowen will churn out the tunes, a mechanical bucking bull ride will have those willing to have a crack hanging on like no tomorrow, and rumour has it the Easter Bunny will be making an early appearance… so it might pay to bring the kids!
There will be a $1000 TAB voucher to spend on the Wangaratta Pacing Cup for the winner of the TrotSelfies competition and patrons will also have the chance to sign up to win the TrotsCruiser, a Toyota FJ Cruiser valued at almost $50,000.
While the cup itself has only drawn a field of seven, it is a select field with in-form pacers Wingara, Hall Of Famer and Almost El Eagle sure to be hard to run down.
