Hi Manameisjeff rebounds back with a 1.49.4 mile

Noted speedster Hi Manameisjeff (Art Major) bounced back with a blistering win in a classy harness racing field in the Joe and Michael Ilsley Free For All at Menangle on Saturday night.

At his previous start Hi Manameisjeff at Menangle inexplicably galloped wildly after the start losing all chance. However last night Hi Manameisjeff was on his best behaviour as he was an easing second favourite.

Showing his blistering early speed, Hi Manameisjeff stormed to the early lead running his first quarter in 27.8 seconds. Driver Jye Coney kept the pace going with the Victorian visitor Jilliby Nitro taking a trail with Pinseeker running third.

Favourite Chase A Dream was taken back to the rear but she was giving the leaders a fair start.

HI MANAMEISJEFF 16 MAY REPLAY

But it was obvious that Hi Manameisjeff was running his rivals a merry dance. It was left to Pinseeker who was doing the chasing but Hi Manameisjeff had too big a break and he coasted to line just under two metres in front of Pinseeker. Seasider who was well back on the rails finished quickly to get third.

Yet again Hi Manameisjeff ran 1.49.4 for the mile demonstrating his liking for the spacious Menangle circuit where he has a great record with 17 wins at the track alone. A nine year old Hi Manameisjeff has only raced 50 times for $566,670 in stake money.
