Down Under Winners from North America – 12th March

A pair of New Zealand bred harness racing mares in Turn The Page (Vincent) and Raspalia (Johny Rock) both saluted at Pocono Downs on Monday (March 2).

Turn The Page enjoyed a pocket sit before outsprinting her rivals in the $27,500 fast class handicap for mares in 1:53.4, while Paspalia, after starting from the outside No.7 gate, led for the last three quarters in 1:52.4.

The Bettor’s Delight gelding Typhoon Banner NZ put up the equal eighth fastest mile of the year of 1:49.8 winning a $19,000 race at The Meadowlands on Saturday night (March 7).

Meanwhile, Lets N Joy, a NZ bred daughter of Bettor’s Delight, extended her unbeaten winning skein this year to six when she won a $26,000 event in 1:52 at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Friday night (March 5).
