Blood Money squares off for another Preferred bout
CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – The powerhouse that is Blood Money (Sweet Lou) will look to continue his free-legged harness racing brilliance against Prince Edward Island’s finest in the Saturday night feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The capital oval hosts a 12-dash presentation with a 6 P.M. first race post time. The $6,250 Preferred 2 pace headlines in race 11 as Blood Money’s swan song continues from post 5.
Blood Money will again have driver Gilles Barrieau above the wheels as the son of Sweet Lou seeks his sixth straight victory for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Dr. Mitchell Downey of New Brunswick. The stallion has won all three Preferred events since the new season began to remain undefeated since removing the hopples.
Stablemate Twin B Tuffenuff (To be driven by Corey MacPherson) may be poised to make things interesting from the rail after finishing second in his seasonal debut. Pat Morris of Charlottetown holds the ownership papers on the former Gold Cup and Saucer runner-up.
Nuttin But Finesse (Mike Downey) holds down post 2 for trainer Ellen Stevenson and owner Dr. Downey after hitting the triactor in all three starts this season.
Dusty Lane Levi (Ken Murphy) is back on red soil and has post 3 for trainer Earl Watts and owners Matt and David Burke. The son of Lather Up had raced the Woodbine Mohawk Park Circuit for the winter months where he was a winner in 1:52.3 in the Bo Ford Stable while recording two wins from four starts this calendar year.
One Wicked Man (Kenny Arsenault) leaves from post 4 as he starts his four-year-old campaign for owner James Perrot of Stratford.
The Post Time Picks think lightning will strike again for Blood Money.
“Blood Money has toyed with the competition since returning to action, but his stablemate, Twin B Tuffenuff, on the rail could trip out and give him a run for his money in the stretch. I’m giving him the slight edge because he’s full of confidence, and that could carry him to the line first.”
