He settled third going around the first turn but was soon sent forward by Louis-Philippe Roy and reached the front before the half. The gelding led unchallenged into the final turn and cracked open a five-length lead coming down the stretch, winding down late for a final margin of three-and-a-half lengths in the 1:51.3 victory. Looks Like Moni (James MacDonald) closed from last to second. Perfetto (Dagfin Henriksen) was third.

FASHION FRENZIE REPLAY

The win increased Fashion Frenzie’s career tally to a quarter-century in 42 starts and his bankroll to $1,181,467. The Richard Moreau-trained gelding finished fourth in his seasonal debut last week. He won the top-level trot five times in nine attempts last season and took the Earl Rowe Invitational at Georgian Downs. He is a two-time O’Brien Award winner. Ecurie Francis Richard, Pierre Guillemette, and Sylvain Richard of Becancour and Gestion Mario Bourgea of Stanbridge East share ownership of the six-year-old.

Richard Moreau completed a training hat trick on the card. He also won with Stonebridge Bravo (Muscle Mass, James MacDonald, 1:53.2) and Jj Tommy (Tobago Cays, MacDonald, 1:51.2).

Racing will continue at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Thursday, May 23 at 7:10 p.m. EDT.
