Driven by Corey MacPherson, T H Boomtown ($5.30) sat in the two-hole before tipping out in the lane to reel in pacesetter Dj Mustang (Driven by Adam Merner) and score by a quarter-length in 1:54.4.

Dj Mustang left hard off the gate to immediately strike the lead in the $4,650 feature and cut the fractions of :28, :56.4 and 1:25 before being caught in the final strides to finish second. Hunters Hero (Marc Campbell) closed well for third while race favourite House Edge Hanover (Gilles Barrieau) was fourth after suffering a broken hopple during the mile. Ron Matheson trains the winning five-year-old son of Captain Crunch for owners Dr. Don Ling and Wayne MacDougall of Stratford.

Barrieau tripled up on the program to give him 53 wins on the season at Red Shores Charlottetown, while Marc Campbell had two wins on the day to now sit three wins back at 50 victories in 2026.

While scoring his triple, Barrieau opened the card with an easy victory behind The Feast ($2.10), who controlled every call to break his maiden in 1:59.1 for trainer Trevin Shive. The veteran reinsman added another win in race 2 as Cattle Call ($3.80) delivered a front-stepping 1:55 score for the first half of a double for trainer Ron Matheson. Barrieau completed his driving triple in race 11 with One Wicked Man ($2.10), who cruised to a three-length victory in 1:53.2 for trainer Jared Perrot.

Racing continues Sunday afternoon at 12:30 P.M., at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway featuring the eliminations of the Governor’s Plate, presented by Summerside Chrysler Dodge.
