Six-figure yearlings break maidens at Mohawk
Emoji Hanover (Greenshoe) and Tea Party Hanover (Stay Hungry), both sold for six digits as yearlings, tallied their first career harness racing victories on Thursday (Aug. 24) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

$180,000 seller Emoji Hanover cut the mile in the lidlifter for Louis-Philippe Roy and ran up the score down the lane to win by four lengths in 1:58.2. Fitness Class (Rick Zeron) was second over Muscone (Anthony Haughan).
EMOJI HANOVER REPLAY
Determination was the winning bidder on Emoji Hanover at Harrisburg. The filly debuted for trainer Luc Blais on Aug. 17 and closed from seventh to second in the last eighth with a :27.1 final quarter. Her dam, Emmylou Who earned $660,354 in 36 starts and won an OSS Gold. Emoji Hanover is one-for-two with $12,750 in earnings.
Tea Party Hanover had to sweat out the final strides, but the filly held on over Watching You (Doug McNair) by a nose in 1:55. The winner brushed to the top at the half for Jody Jamieson, opened up to three-quarters, and gutted out the stretch drive for the win.
TEA PARTY HANOVER REPLAY
Tea Party Hanover finished fourth twice and third once in her first three outings. Jack Darling trains the filly and co-owns her via Jack Darling Stables with Brad Grant. The $150,000 Lexington purchase is out of the OSS Gold-winning Sportswriter mare Thisorthat Hanover.
Two Ontario Sires Stakes Gold divisions and two splits of the Casual Breeze feature on Woodbine Mohawk Park’s next card on Friday, Aug. 25. First post is set for 7:10 p.m. EDT.
