Race Of The Week 17th September 2026

Miss Jum Jabber (Bettor’s Wish) produced one of the most explosive finishes of the week when scorching home in :24.4 to capture her $80,000 Kentucky Championship Series division at The Red Mile.

The Brett Pelling-trained three-year-old had to rely on patience and a touch of luck after driver Andy McCarthy settled her three back on the pylons while Hope Hill controlled proceedings through relatively comfortable fractions of :28.3, :57.3 and 1:25.3.

Turning for home, Miss Jum Jabber was travelling strongly but still needed somewhere to go.

McCarthy eventually found the opening and, once clear, the race changed in a matter of strides. Miss Jum Jabber accelerated sharply between rivals before sweeping past She’s A Bulldog and Hope Hill to score by half a length in 1:51.1.

MISS JUM JABBER REPLAY

It was the final quarter that made the performance stand out. After sitting behind a moderate tempo, Miss Jum Jabber ripped home in :24.4, displaying the exceptional turn of speed that has made her one of the most exciting three-year-old pacing fillies racing in North America.

The victory continued an outstanding campaign for the daughter of Bettor’s Wish and Treacherous Reign. She has now won 12 of her 14 career starts and banked $406,139 for Pelling Racing LLC.
