Auckland selections 17th April 2026
Harness analyst best tips:
Best Bet: R5 Sammy Lincoln
Best Value: R2 Colonel Lincoln
Race 1
Prince Lincoln (1) Would need to lift on recent runs, but good draw. Give another chance.
Gotta Go Miki (9) Early mistake first up hurt him but can fly late if gaps appear in the straight.
Mick Konstantin (10) Showed his usual speed fresh and can earn a cheque with the right trip.
Race 2
Final Approach (8) Three wins from four this campaign and looks a genuine winning hope again.
Crazy (6) Forgive the last mobile miss. Better alley gives him the chance to atone.
Bravehearthighlander (9) In the right form to be around the finish despite the second row.
Race 3
Colonel Lincoln (10) Fresh up here and his older form says he can measure up to these.
Waltzing With Miki (2) Too strong last time and should be up on the speed again.
Bettor Reaction (5) Upset them last week and the lead up form said he was close.
Race 4
Apollo Eleven (8) Impressed winning on debut and still looks a big chance from the draw.
Duke Of Bourbon (5) Won his last two trials and looks a serious player on debut.
T K Supersonic (7) Chased a smart one first up and can fill another first four spot.
Race 5
Sammy Lincoln (7) Still learning, but he has the talent to take this out if he gets handy.
Layton David (5) Game in both starts and should be in the fight again. Hard to beat
Evernden (1) Recent workout win and the draw gives him every favour tonight at odds.
Race 6
Overwatch (5) Looked good winning on debut and will have plenty of support fresh.
Who’s Ya Daddy (3) Strong form around him, but manners in trials are the concern.
Miss Bebe (9) Early error cost her last time but has a place hope at longer odds in this.
Race 7
Louezyana (5) Only just missed at Ruakaka and will be charging late again. Include
Always Flyin (2) Freshened since Taupo and can improve enough to feature in the minors.
Hooray Henry (6) Strong track performer and his Cambridge effort was sound enough.
Race 8
Power Seeker (9) Bold debut at Ruakaka and looks capable of going one better here.
Pirayas (1) Resumes off a tidy trial and can run another solid race fresh.
Chase Is On The Case (15) Trial winner with ability and likely to have support despite the unruly.
Race 9
Big Herb (7) Tough trip last time and can improve sharply with a softer run in transit.
Chanel Noire (3) Powered home to score here last start and can handle the rise in grade.
Captain Moonlight (2) Sound resumption and expected to strip fitter for this assignment.
Race 10
Paradise Ali (8) Went close at Ruakaka and another honest run would not surprise.
Aldebaran Redwood (5) Costly for punters last time, but good enough to make amends.
Trifolium (3) Ultra consistent mare who rarely runs a bad one in this grade.
