The 12-dash card featured five divisions of the P.E.I. Colt Stakes for trotters with Little Louis ($2.10) living up to his overwhelming favourite status in the $21,100 three-year-old colt division, brushing to the lead and never looking back in a 1:59.2 score. Corey MacPherson handled the driving for trainer Kuri White and the East Coast Captains ownership group of Cornwall as the E L Rocket gelding defeated Call Of Honor (Driven by Ken Murphy) and Hoponarocket (Gilles Barrieau).

LITTLE LOUIS REPLAY

The biggest upset of the evening came in the $21,100 three-year-old filly division as divisional heavyweight Hallysgurl (Barrieau) was offstride at the start as the heavy favourite leaving the bout wide open. It was Bonmati ($58.60) and Corey MacPherson that capitalized for victory over Emberlees Rocket (Marc Campbell) and Miss Gracie Ridge (Brodie MacPhee). Blayne White of South Pinette owns and trains the daughter of EL Rocket – Glidetowin who topped a $806.90 triactor ticket.

The two-year-old colt divisions produced a pair of impressive performances.

Stunning Speed ($3.90) controlled every station en route to a 2:03.4 maiden victory for the Muscle Through It-Stunning Look colt and trainer-driver Mike McGuigan for owners Little Pond Stables of Little Pond and The Coles Stable of Charlottetown. Muscles Dreamer (Adam Merner) finished second with Hopthroughit (Clare MacDonald) third.

Massivearmour ($2.10) was even more dominant in the second division, as the Muscle Mass-Incredible Hally colt opened up by 16 lengths in a 2:05.4 romp for driver Gilles Barrieau, trainer Darryl MacLean and owners Calvin Larkin of Mermaid and Erika Bradley of Charlottetown. Maple Leaf Captain (Myles Heffernan Sr.) was second while Shoe Dog Speed (Paul Langille) completed the top three.

Saulsbrook Disco ($12.90) captured the $14,400 two-year-old filly division in 2:08.1 with Marc Campbell in the sulky of the Muscle Through It-Cleveland Twilight filly for trainer Landon Campbell and the What R The Oddz Stable of Orwell. Early Speed (Heffernan Sr.) finished second ahead of Rockin Through It (McGuigan).

The Preferred 2 Pace closed the card with Freemans Legacy ($12.20) upsetting the favourites in 1:54. Trainer-driver Jaycob Sweet sent the Pang Shui gelding to the front and kept cruising for owner Mackenzie Arsenault of Alberton. Heavy favourite Merigo Magic (Merner) closed well for second while Sauble Attack (Murphy) was third.

Marc Campbell had a driving triple on the program including a pair of wins from his son Landon Campbell’s outfit.
