The Post Time Picks like Lady Cafe Au Lait on top.
“Lady Cafe Au Lait has reeled off three straight victories since arriving on PEI, and has shown that she’s versatile, so I’m riding along with the hot horse tonight. Marc could power drive her to the front or take back and flush some live cover, and either trip could land her in the winner’s circle.”
The other $9,000 Aged Pacing Mares Series event lines up in race 11 with Trumps Girl the top choice from post 6 for driver Campbell and trainer David O’Brien for owner Tommy Collings of Mount Stewart. Rosetown Mary has post 8 with Corey MacPherson aboard while More Than A Woman is a major player from post 2 with Jason Hughes in the bike.
The $8,000 Island Ocean Trot Series hits the track in race 10 with Buckhead Ridge favoured from post 3 for driver Campbell, trainer Landon Campbell and owner Brady Doyle of Stratford. Track record holder Flemsteen has post 5 with Murphy in the bike for trainer Jennifer Doyle while Fight Song leaves from post 6 for Hughes and trainer Ashley Gamester.
The P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Series Grassroots divisions will line up in races 9 and 12 for $6,000 purses.
Sensational Gal gets top billing in race 9 from post 4 with Gilles Barrieau driving for trainer Nicholas Oakes and owner JD Racing Inc., of Cornwall.
Moon Bound is favoured in the race 12 Grassroots split from post 6 with Murphy driving for trainer Jennifer Doyle and owners Nathaniel Smith and Greg Kirby of Maine.
The program opens with the $6,750 Allstar Cresting Trot Series in race 1 as Big Rig gets the call from post 2 with Mike McGuigan in the bike for owners Owen McGuigan and Jamie Whalen. West River Karuna has post 8 with Ken MacDonald driving while Hallysgurl leaves from post 5 with Barrieau aboard.
