Hi Manameisjeff gets home in perfect drive by Jye Coney
Hi Manameisjeff showed that he could come from behind
Noted front runner Hi Manameisjeff (Art Major) showed that he could come from behind when he finished with a well timed burst to take out the $75,000 Group 2 Multiquip Aggregates Light Horse Free For All at Menangle on Saturday evening.

Hi Manameisjeff was handled by young gun driver Jye Coney when stable driver Cameron Hart decided to drive Rakero Rocket who ended up starting favourite.
Fireworks were expected with such a fast group of pacers engaged and that eventuated with a furious battle for the early lead. Nyack from the pole held out Speak The Truth and Rakero Rocket who was out three wide and Cheerstolou who broke up and put himself out of the race.
Rakero Rocket ended up behind the leader while Hi Manameisjeff had the perfect one out and one back trail. The field ran their first quarter in a blistering 25.8 seconds and the pace was maintained with subsequent quarters of 28.3, 27.6 and 27.6 seconds respectively.
Rakero Rocket was desperately trying to look for a run on straightening but Hi Manameisjeff issued his challenge. Final Deadline who had been back at the rear of the field came flying down the outside and made it interesting but he failed by a short half head to rein in Hi Manameisjeff. War Dan Buddy finished for third while veteran Max Delight showed a welcome return with a strong finishing fourth.
HI MANAMEISJEFF 14 MAR REPLAY
Rakero Rocket was never able to get clear and hung in beating two home. It was an impressive 1.49.3 by Hi Manameisjeff which was the fastest of the miles run by the third race.

Jye Coney discussed his recent success with the Jason Grimson stable.
I was pretty confident that I’d held on. He’s a pretty big horse and the horse was only a little thing but I could feel racing to the line so I was confident.
It’s great to give them success (owner Mick Boots and trainer Jason Grimson) when they’re giving me such great opportunities. It was perfect to get that one out of the way.
Now I can just enjoy the rest of the night until the big one (Miracle Mile). That’s a career highlight to do that such a good old horse. In front of a big crowd on such a big night. I can’t put it into words.
“That’s for sure a career highlight.”✨
