Heza Punk Rocker blasts them again

Heza Punk Rocker blasts them again

By Harnesslink ·

Jason Grimson’s latest addition Heza Punk Rocker (Rock N Roll Heaven) gave yet another speed display with another scintillating harness racing performance in the Sweet Lou Junior Free For All At Albion Park on Saturday evening and in doing so gave the 1.50 time a mighty shake.

With Grimson driving Heza Punk Rocker showed high speed but was beaten out by local pacer Fernco Nel. However once crossed Grimson peeled out again and this time he quickly raced past Fernco Nel to set up a decisive lead.

However in running his quarters in 26, 28.2, 27.4 and 28.9 seconds he gave little chance to those behind trying to chase him.

Fernco Nel stuck with Heza Punk Rocker but Grimson was still sitting quietly on his charge and he was never ever seriously threatened and he simply strolled to the line just over three metres in front of Fernco Nel with Catseye Beach finishing on for third.

The six year old gelding has had a varied career since arriving from New Zealand just two years ago. Arriving at Emma Stewart’s stable Heza Punk Rocker created a big impression when he won the VicBred Super Series for four year olds at Melton before finishing a close second in the Golden Apple at Launceston.

He seemed to lose form and was sent to South Australia but his only success there was a lower class race at Victor Harbour. Fast forward to early July when he was transferred to Grimson’s stable. And since then he’s won four races at Albion Park with a luckless third after having to do a lot of work.

He seems the type that will be suited to the country cups carnivals whether they be in New South Wales or Victoria so what Grimson does with him in the future will be followed with great interest.
