The Guelph-based reinsman steered Fearless Fury (Fear The Dragon, 2:00) to a debut victory in the early card for win number 1,999 and got home Sports Fan (Sportswriter) in the eighth to reach 2,000.

He held Sports Fan, a three-year-old Blake Macintosh trainee, on second-over cover until making a three-wide move entering the final quarter, and the colt quickly overcame leader Premier Nacho (Jason Ryan) for the victory in 1:57.4.

The mud-caked reinsman received a congratulatory placard in the paddock following the win.

Henry reached the 2,000 total in 14,147 starts. The Brantford, Ont. native has driven horses to more than $13,031,218 in earnings since his first drive in 2010.

One race prior, Tojenniferscredit (Up The Credit) broke a 50-race losing streak. The five-year-old gelding nosed out Menlo Park (Travis Cullen) to win for the first time since Nov. 29, 2020. It was his fourth win in 88 starts for owner/breeder/trainer Shawn Arnott of Simcoe.

Flamboro Downs will continue racing at 6:35 p.m. EDT on Thursday, Oct. 27.
