Winton selections 17th September 2026
Harness analyst best tips:
Best Bet: R4 Bill Ackman
Best Value: R6 Our Evie Rae
Race 1
Mach A Wish (3)
Has been knocking around the placings and gets a good draw here. Looks to have found a very winnable race.
Sent (6)
Returns after a long break and may need the outing, but showed enough last campaign to be competitive in this company.
Delightingold (8)
Drops back in class slightly and this field should suit much better. Wide draw but capable of featuring.
Race 2
Fillyourboots (2)
Resumes without a trial but showed enough last campaign to warrant respect. Might need the run.
Star Invasion (4)
Racing consistently without winning and gets another chance from the front. Looks a genuine top-three hope.
Pyramid Mischief (6)
Two seconds on the bounce and looks close to putting another win on the board. Major chance with manners.
Race 3
Cheer Up N Dance (10)
Has been taking on better company and should appreciate the class drop. Second row awkward but she can overcome it.
Third Party (5)
Has changed stables and comes here after a useful trial. Capable of improving considerably on recent race-day form.
Jay Jay Denario (4)
Went very close here last start and draws nicely again. Racing well enough to be right in the finish.
Race 4
Bill Ackman (5)
Debutant who looked sharp winning his latest trial. Stable is flying and he looks ready to go first up.
Destiny’s Angel (1)
Has shown enough in three starts to be competitive here and now gets the ace. Looks the main danger.
Shezastranger (7)
Very good second when returning and should take improvement from that. Draw makes it harder but she’s a definite chance.
Race 5
Bettor Than Lizzy (1)
Gets a big opportunity from the ace after doing her best work late at Addington. Looks good value in this field.
Money In The Till (2)
Form has been heading the right way and the draw gives her every chance. Strong each-way prospect.
Major Boy (9)
Forget the fresh-up result when things didn’t work out. Second row isn’t ideal but he’s capable of much better.
Race 6
Our Evie Rae (4)
Last start was below her best but her earlier efforts stack up nicely here. Worth another chance.
Andy Hall (1)
Excellent second last time and now gets the inside draw. Looks one of the hardest to beat.
Father Mike (10)
Race form doesn’t inspire but he’s been competing in better company and trialled nicely. Could surprise at odds.
Race 7
Rakmacknra (9)
Two starts for two impressive wins and clearly has plenty of upside. Second row is the only real concern.
Capital Jay (1)
Returned with a win and should be even better for it. Ace draw makes him a serious threat.
Mr Cash Man (10)
Has been racing well enough without getting the rewards. This grade suits and he’s worth including in the multiples.
Race 8
Tactical Bid (7)
Talented trotter making his first start for a new stable after a good trial. Twenty metres makes it interesting but he can win.
To The Moon And Back (8)
Returned with a win here and clearly has come back in good order. Also off 20m but looks a major chance.
Jaccka Ace (3)
Hardly putting a foot wrong at present and gets a valuable start on the two main dangers. Strong each-way hope.
Race 9
Beluga (2)
Continues to race consistently and gets another favourable draw. Looks capable of finally turning those placings into a win.
Joyride(AUS) (5)
Has been mixing it in stronger company and should appreciate this grade. One of the better winning chances.
Hacksaw Ridge (7)
Needed his first run back and should be fitter today. Draw isn’t ideal but improvement wouldn’t surprise.
