Cambridge selections 21st August 2026

Harness analyst best tips:

Best Bet: R1 Hill Billie Bundy

Best Value: R7 Daisy Bay

Race 1

Hill Billie Bundy (8)
Two wins on end and looks to be going better than ever. Draw not perfect but still the horse they have to beat.

Eagle Hanover (3)
Better last week when running on into third. Gets a kinder draw and looks a solid EW chance again.

Shesgold (7)
Very good since returning and only found one better last Friday. Can win this with the right trip.

Race 2

Sammy Lincoln (2)
Much better effort last week and now lands a very good draw. Gets his chance to go one better here.

Merle Mary (5)
Only fair last start but has enough ability for this grade. One for the multiples at decent odds.

Breeny’s Conqueror (1)
Form has gone off a little but the ace gives her every opportunity. Can improve sharply from here.

Race 3

Yeah Nah (1)
Freshened and comes in off a workout win. Front mark is a big help and looks a serious winning chance.

Rebel Castleton (4)
Late mistake cost him last week but he was going well enough before that. Manners the key and must include.

Mechanica (5)
Gutsy second last start and continues to race honestly. Unruly draw the query but definitely in the mix.

Race 4

Bamm Bamm (3)
Fresh and has done enough in preparation to be ready. Open juvenile race and looks a genuine chance.

Leon Galleon (4)
Has had another trial leading into this and should be fitter than first campaign. One for longer odds.

Dino (6)
One start for one win and looked smart doing it. Wide draw but clearly has the motor to overcome it.

Race 5

President Flynntin (3)
Very rarely far away around Cambridge and gets the front line tonight. Looks a strong top-three chance again.

Luca (7)
Not much went right last week but is capable of much better. One to include at odds in an even race.

Scoots (1)
Gets the front and that is a big advantage over several of the main hopes. Not the worst in this.

Race 6

No More Dreaming (2)
Given a freshen and looked sharp in his latest workout. Drawn well and this looks a very winnable maiden.

The Miki Taker (10)
Draw beat him last week and he gets another second-row marble. Still good enough to run into the money.

Ravens Shadow (1)
Has been going well without winning and finally gets the ace. Should get every chance to break through.

Race 7

Daisy Bay (6)
Unbeaten in two starts last season and returns in a strong fillies race. Plenty of upside and looks good value.

Lady Di (1)
Classy filly resuming from the perfect draw. Should get the run she needs and has to be respected.

Seaside Legacy (10)
Won well on debut and has looked good again at the trials. Second row hurts but she can still win this.

Race 8

War Party (5)
Two wins from his last two starts and has been freshened since. Progressive horse who looks right up to this.

Alecto (2)
Quality filly back from a spell and drawn perfectly. Trial form says she is ready and definitely needed.

Colonel Lincoln (8)
Recent form is ugly but he is better than that. Tough gate but could add value to the wider multiples.

Race 9

Final Change (1)
Very consistent and gets a massive advantage starting from the front. Can make the better horses work to catch him.

Blazing Louie (6)
Has won this type of race before and gets another chance from the front mark. Good EW hope at odds.

Leo Lincoln (4)
Forget last week from a bad draw. Better setup tonight and his previous Auckland run was good enough.

Race 10

Tatanka (3)
Backed up his ability with another win last week. Up in grade now but gets the front and can keep progressing.

Ferdinand (5)
Won well two starts ago and this looks another suitable assignment. Ten metres shouldn’t stop him being competitive.

Stone Cold (7)
Has been good in both runs back and should be nearing peak fitness. Twenty metres makes it tougher but still a major player.

Race 11

B Envious (5)
Got the maiden win at Auckland and this isn’t a huge step up. Draw is workable and looks one of the better chances.

Lucky As (2)
Forget the latest run when things didn’t work out. Drawn well and previous Cambridge form makes him hard to leave out.

Aventador (9)
Comes in off a good Auckland win and confidence will be high. Second row is awkward but can go close again.
