Auckland selections 25 September 2026

Harness analyst best tips:

Best Bet: R3 Cyclone Miki

Best Value: R4  Brienne

Race 1

Signman (1)

Good effort when resuming and should be fitter for that outing. Gets the perfect draw and looks the one to beat.

Little Lily (2)

Should improve from her first run back and gets a much better draw. Capable of getting into the finish.

Bettor Be Special (6)

Had little luck from a similar draw last start. Needs things to go his way but could sneak into the placings at odds.

Race 2

Nancy Latour (1)

Very good effort on debut and should improve with the experience. Nicely drawn and looks a major winning chance.

Aldebaranmargareta (3)

Made a mistake when resuming but showed enough afterwards to suggest she has ability. Strong chance with manners.

Pirayas (6)

Continues to race consistently and has been placed in her last two starts. Should be thereabouts again.

Race 3

Cyclone Miki (3)

Excellent second on debut when well supported. Should improve sharply and looks the horse to beat from a handy draw.

The Kings Charge (5)

Makes his debut after some encouraging trial performances. Comes from a strong stable and looks a genuine threat.

Midnight Betty (1)

Had little opportunity from the inside last start but gets another good draw. Capable of sneaking into the placings.

Race 4

Brienne (6)

Has been mixing her form but her better efforts would put her right in contention. Worth including in the multiples.

And Remember Me (2)

Very good effort to finish third after making an early mistake last start. Gets a useful draw and looks a strong winning chance.

Skee Princess (1)

Forget the latest effort after breaking when in a handy position. Earlier winning form was good and the ace draw helps.

Race 5

Georgie Best (4)

Resumed with a convincing victory over the mile and should be even better for that run. Looks a major chance again.

Mama’s Wish (5)

Had to work too hard from a wide draw last start. Her earlier form was excellent and she can bounce back here.

Critical Image (8)

Returns after two consecutive victories during his previous campaign. Wide draw makes it tricky but has the ability to feature fresh.

Race 6

Muscle Memory (1)

Deserved his maiden victory after several good performances. Steps up in grade but the front mark gives him every chance.

Franco Ronaldo (5)

Has won his last two starts and continues to improve. Ten-metre handicap to overcome but looks the hardest to beat.

Donegal Hill (4)

Has been racing consistently and produced a strong effort when stepping out of maiden company. Manners will be important from the unruly.

Race 7

Illicit Love (9)

Has been outstanding winning his last three starts. Faces a ten-metre handicap but looks capable of continuing his winning run.

Redpark Warrior (5)

Excellent third after being checked last start. Gets the front mark and should be right in the finish with a clean run.

Stone Cold (4)

Has been racing honestly and fought on well for third earlier in the month. Looks a genuine top-three chance.

Race 8

Ripples (8)

Has won her last two starts and looks to be improving rapidly. Wide draw is the concern but has genuine winning claims.

Ride The Waves (5)

Continues to race in outstanding form and was narrowly beaten last start. Nicely drawn and looks one of the hardest to beat.

Fly High (9)

Very good winner last start and has plenty of ability. Second-row draw makes it tougher but still a major threat.

Race 9

Secret Beach (5)

Disappointing last start but his earlier form was excellent. Drops back to a suitable grade and can bounce back strongly.

Lulana (2)

Excellent second when resuming after winning three consecutive races last campaign. Nicely drawn and looks a major winning chance.

Social Distancing (1)

Has been struggling to find his best form but gets the perfect draw. Capable of surprising if he gets the right run.
