Harness analyst best tips:
Best Bet: R3 Rivergirl Bella
Best Value: R4 The Merc
Race 1
Captains Secret (5)
Returns after finishing second in his preparatory workout. Has shown enough ability previously and looks a strong each-way chance fresh.
Messenger Buoy (4)
Recent Auckland draws haven’t helped his cause. Back on his home track from a better alley and can improve.
Rushkinoff (1)
Returns to Cambridge and gets the perfect draw. Capable of making full use of the inside and looks a genuine winning chance.
Race 2
Scoots (5)
Has been consistently competitive over this distance and finds another suitable assignment. Looks one of the hardest to beat.
Chesinov (9)
Had little luck last week and is capable of better. Needs to do everything right but could provide some value.
Tiki (8)
Fought hard when runner-up last Thursday. Draw is wider this time but another honest performance looks likely.
Race 3
Rivergirl Bella (5)
Has placed in both starts since returning and continues to race well at Cambridge. Looks ready to break through.
Waltzing With Miki (8)
Drops into easier company and should appreciate the class relief. Wide draw is the concern but has strong winning claims.
Franco Miki (6)
Fought on well last week after a stronger performance the start before. Looks a solid top-three chance again.
Race 4
The Merc (3)
Finished strongly when runner-up last Thursday and appears to be building nicely. Looks a genuine winning chance.
One More Moment (8)
Didn’t get all the favours last start and the longer distance should suit. Big handicap to overcome but capable of featuring.
Paradise Ali (4)
Steps up after an impressive victory here last week. Ten-metre handicap makes it tougher but he can measure up.
Race 5
Heaven High (4)
Latest effort was below his best but he won well two starts ago. Gets another chance from a workable draw.
Village Rebel (7)
Worked hard sitting parked last week after a strong second previously. Continues to race well and has each-way claims.
Leo Lincoln (8)
Won impressively here last week and clearly enjoys Cambridge. Wide draw is the challenge but he can win again.
Race 6
Mechanica (7)
Has been knocking on the door for some time and gets another suitable opportunity. Manners from the unruly will be important.
Inta Rhythm (3)
Produced an encouraging debut and should improve with that experience. Gets a good draw and looks a major chance.
Substitute (5)
Makes her debut after showing ability in recent workouts. Nicely drawn and looks capable of making an immediate impact.
