Addington selections 18 September 2026
Harness analyst best tips:
Best Bet: R8 Chiggsy
Best Value: R7 Imperious Girl
Race 1
Stumblin In (8)
Has tackled some handy opposition and won a recent trial. Wide draw but looks a strong each-way chance.
Chaldon (1)
Didn’t get much luck from a wide gate last week and drops in grade. Ace draw makes him a major threat.
Lous Pinup Girl (3)
Had an excuse last time after racing consistently beforehand. Better draw gives her a solid top-three chance.
Race 2
Missing In Action (2)
Showed ability as a juvenile and was a good second at the trials. Nicely drawn and looks hard to beat.
Major Lazarus (3)
Had no luck when well supported last start. Deserves another chance from a favourable draw.
Last Honours (8)
Continues to race consistently without winning. Draw makes it harder but he’s capable of getting into the finish.
Race 3
Prestigious (2)
Returns after showing plenty last campaign and has trialled nicely twice. Looks a strong fresh-up chance.
Zoltan Boscik (7)
Finished his last campaign in excellent form and goes well fresh. Wide draw but clearly one of the hardest to beat.
Dash Dosh (8)
Quality mare resuming and her best form would make her very competitive. Wide draw is the main concern.
Race 4
Taketheplunge (4)
Two good trials have him ready for his return. First standing start is the query but he has plenty of ability.
J T Boe (8)
Good third in the Kurow Cup and has raced well fresh before. Twenty-five metres makes it tough but he can win.
Bar Louie (7)
Returns after a useful trial and has a strong fresh record. Also off 25 metres but worth including at odds.
Race 5
Harriet’s Moment (3)
Racing consistently and chased home a promising type last week. Good draw and looks a strong each-way chance.
One El (7)
Has produced several useful efforts across different grades. Needs things to fall his way but can feature.
Dynasty (13)
Excellent second at Oamaru after returning to the trot. Tough draw but should be hitting the line strongly.
Race 6
Nella Keenan (8)
Group 3 winner returning after showing plenty as a juvenile. Trial wasn’t perfect but she has the class to win fresh.
Wat Fun (7)
Showed plenty in her first campaign and her recent trials have been better than they look. Definite winning chance.
Suva Baby (2)
Had little luck in her latest trial and should be stronger after her autumn campaign. Nicely drawn and worth including.
Race 7
Imperious Girl (6)
Unbeaten in three starts and created a big impression last campaign. This is harder but she looks a serious talent.
Marikit (5)
Three straight wins and had something in reserve here last week. Looks the obvious danger in a strong race.
Duchess Maria (9)
Outstanding juvenile who has won both workouts this year. Wide draw is tough but her class takes her a long way.
Race 8
Chiggsy (4)
Finished strongly when resuming and gets a much better draw tonight. Looks ready to produce his best.
Faith Not Fear (9)
Unbeaten after two very different wins and clearly has a serious motor. Second row is tricky but she can win again.
Travel Agent (3)
Forget the disappointing fresh-up run. Much better than that and gets the draw to turn things around.
Race 9
Freeze Frame (3)
Solid fourth when resuming and should improve with the run. Group 1 winner who gets a good chance from this draw.
Forever Miki (4)
Excellent last campaign and looked ready to go with a strong trial second. Major winning chance fresh.
Eun Sogno (9)
Has returned with two straight wins and is clearly thriving. Wide draw makes it harder but he can win again.
Race 10
Ashley Frank (8)
Drops back into a more suitable grade after a below-par last run. Wide draw but his best form makes him hard to beat.
Commander Ben (3)
Did well to finish fourth after an early mistake last week. Mobile start and good draw give him every chance.
Ukraine (10)
Talented pacer resuming for a new stable. Second-row draw isn’t ideal but he’s capable of making his presence felt fresh.
