Glitter Aint Gold shines in Free For All success
One of the State’s most improved pacers Glitter Aint Gold (Bling It On) showed he’s capable of mixing in the better classes with a strong harness racing win in the Paul Fitzpatrick Free For All at Menangle on Saturday night.

The race saw Ubetcha Tigerpie installed a hot favourite and he was expected to finalise his Inter Dominion preparation with a win.
GLITTER AINT GOLD 27 JUN REPLAY
Ripp who was well supported showed his customary brilliant early speed to find the lead as Dance With Carmer took a trail behind the leader. Glitter Aint Gold settled three back on the rails with Ubetcha Tigerpie behind four back on the rails. Michael Stanley elected not to come off the fence when Captain Bellasario edged around the field and was caught in a pocket and when he did get clear looked to be spotting too big a margin to make up on the leaders.
Ripp had his own way in front but Dance With Carmer came off the fence to issue a strong challenge on straightening. However Jett Turnbull on Glitter Aint Gold was able to extricate off the fence and in a timely burst finished too strongly for a well deserved win. Ripp and Dance With Carmer filled the placings while the desperately unlucky Ubetcha Tigerpie who was forced the widest runner was right on their heels in fourth.

Better Eclipse came from a clear last to finish just behind Ubetcha Tigerpie just over ten metres from winner and he is ready to greet the winners circle soon.
Ubetcha Tigerpie’s run would be best forgotten and he is still on track for competing in the Inter Dominion.
However full credit to Glitter Aint Gold who showed plenty of class in his win. The five year old isn’t entered for the Inter Dominion but is now a proven free for all performer and there will be plenty of races for him to tackle in the future.
