Gaining Experience dominates Gr I Harper Hanovers

Today’s Solvalla featured harness racing event was the Harper Hanovers  (Gr I International, 1,000,000SK to  winner, 3140 meters voltstart, 15 starters).

The 3.69/1  odds  Gaining Experience (5m Readly Express-Apprentice M-Kadabra) captured the Harper Hanovers extended distance event decisively timed in1.12.4kr over the 3140 meters distance. Bjorn Goop teamed the Timo Nurmos trainee, that Stal Esplanad, owns as he earned his ninth career win in 10 starts and fourth straight triumph now for 1,581,500SEK earned. Home second was 6.7/1 Baron Tilly (6g Ready Cash-Infra Tilly-Super Arnie) for Carl Johan Jepson/David Persson that was handicapped 20 meters followed by Erik The Phantom (7g Maharajah) for Magnus A Djuse/Timo Nurmos at 23.2/1 odds, also 20 meters handicapped. Inmarosa (8f Amiral Sacha) overcame a 40 meter penalty to be fourth for Leo Abrivard and Igrec de Celland (8m Django Riff) was fifth for Alexandre Abrivard also facing a 40 meter handicap.

On the undercard was the Stall Courant  Joviality Race (500,000SEK to winner, 1640 meters autostart, 10 mare starters). Italy’s Celiaz (8f Varenne-Ofeliaz-Love You) was first to the front and a coast to coast winner at 20.68/1 odds timed in 1.09.8kr with Magnus A Djuse up for trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro and owner Leonardo Vastano.

She won for the 29th time in 57 starts for 3,044,570SEK earned. Urbina Southwind (7f Brillantissime) led briefly at the start  and was second at 12.58/1 for Carl Johan Jepson/Viktor Flink Ideborn followed by 58.4/1 Rya Haleryd (5f Maharajah) with Mats E Djuse/Mattias Djuse and then Olly Haleryd (8f Trixton) for Orjan Kihlstrom/Daniel Reden. Clarissa (8f Exploit Caf) was fifth after a three  wide journey for driver/trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro as the 1.47/1 odds favorite.

The top tier mares also contested the Lady Snarts Race (STL Mares, 250,000SEK to winner, 2140 meters autostart, 15 starters). I’m Still Standing (5f Googoo Gaagaa-Jacky Glide-Jag de Bellouet) escaped breakers and emerged strongly to win the Lady Snarts timed in 1.12.1kr for trainer/driver Johan Untersteinr.

Off at 7.04/1 odds the winner recorded her 10th career victory in 22 starts for 852,890SK earned. Stall Adiel owns the winner from post 15. The post 14 Rania Zon (5f Googoo Gaagaa-Borninparadise-Muscle Hill) was second at 6.6/1 with Mats A Djuse up for trainer Jasmine Ising. Third was 14.2/1 Love Express WF (5f Readly Express-Miss Jagrs-Love You) for Stefan Persson/Markus Waldmuller.
