Freemans Legacy out to reclaim winning form

SUMMERSIDE, PE – After falling a neck short of continuing his winning streak last week, Freemans Legacy will look to get back to the harness racing winner’s circle Tuesday evening at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

The Prince County oval has a 13-dash presentation starting at 6 P.M., with the $6,600 featured pace lining up in race 12.

Freemans Legacy leaves from post 4 with trainer-driver Jaycob Sweet for owner Mackenzie Arsenault of Alberton. The five-year-old son of Pang Shui won back-to-back outings in 1:55.2 and 1:55.3 before being caught by Air Force Hanover in his latest appearance, finishing second by a neck in 1:55.1.

Brookdale Johnny is the 5-2 morning line favourite from post 5 with Paul Langille in the seat for trainer Phil Sizer and owners Doug Polley Jr., and Doug Polley Sr., of Amherst, N.S. The Rockin In Heaven gelding has won three of his last four starts, including a 1:54.1 victory at Summerside, before finishing third behind Doc Awesome in his most recent outing.

Middleton Terror has post 2 with Jason Hughes driving the Luke Burke trainee for owners Kingsley Walsh of Albany and Frank Balcom of Amherst, N.S. The seven-year-old son of Stonebridge Terror was a five-length winner in 1:56.4 in his last start.

The Post Time Picks goes with Freemans Legacy to reclaim the spotlight.

“Freemans Legacy has been sharp every week and came within a neck of making it three straight last time out. Jaycob has options from post 4, and this horse has shown he can win from the front or capitalize on a trip. With his current form, I’m looking for him to get back to the winner’s circle.”

The rest of the feature field includes rail starter Pyrenees Hanover (To be driven by Corey MacPherson), Bronx Drifter (Landon Campbell) from post 3 and Doc Awesome (Ken Murphy) with post 6.

Stay Dreamy gets rail control in the $3,300 race 7 pace as the 5-2 morning line favourite and the Post Time Picks Most Probable winner. Langille drives the two-year-old son of Stay Hungry for trainer Earl Watts and owners Mike Currie of Cardigan and Jerry MacKinnon of St. Peters Bay.

Plymouth Rock is the Post Time Picks Value Play from the rail in race 4 with Murphy driving for trainer Rick Armstrong and owner Stephen Downey of Quispamsis, N.B. The Courtly Choice colt collected his first career win in his latest outing.

Going Yard headlines the $4,000 race 13 finale from post 3 with Keith Legge driving for trainer George Rennison and owners Rennison Racing Inc., of Truro, N.S., and Aiden Ferrish of Summerside.
