Fate Awaits readies for the Eureka
Star Queensland pacer Fate Awaits topped off his Eureka campaign with a strong all the way win in the Sweet Lou Junior Free For All at Albion Park on Saturday evening.

Drawn the pole, Fate Awaits was driven by Jack Chapple as his usual driver Grant Dixon is currently in New Zealand with Leap To Fame contesting the New Zealand Trotting Cup on Tuesday.
Once he held the lead from the pole draw, the result was never in doubt for Fate Awaits. He had the luxury of having a fairly soft run in the lead with speedster Regazzo Di Tilly caught outside the leader with French Fries the only other runner at single odds taking a trail behind the leader.
However at the business end of the race, Fate Awaits ran his final two quarters in 27.1 and 26 seconds showing that he is in peak form for the Eureka.
Although raced by Kevin and Kay Seymour, Fate Awaits has been claimed by Western Jewel which is managed by well known Bathurst identity Wayne Loader. Fate Awaits has a special connection with the Western districts of New South Wales as he was bred by Phil and Denise Thurston who are based at Forbes.
Loader has always been an ardent supporter of Harness Racing in the Western districts from Bathurst outwards.
Fate Awaits contested the Eureka last year as a three year old but was never likely. However this time in the brown entire looks a lot stronger and he’ll be a worthy representative for Queensland and the Western districts of New South Wales.
