Dead heat drama in Harrington Mares Open

HARRINGTON, DE – Brian Frazier’s Nite Time Deal ($16.40, Art Stafford Jr.) and Bryan Truitt’s Almost Persuaded ($4.20, Russell Foster) were dead-heat winners in the $22,500 Mares Open Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.

Almost Persuaded authored the fractions while Nite Time Deal bided her time in the pocket but closed gamely through the stretch as the two mares hit the wire together. Trained by Chuck Crissman Jr., Nite Time Deal recorded her 6th win of the year while Truitt-trained Always Persuaded notched her 5th win of the season.

Art Stafford Jr. had 4 wins on the program.
