The Richard Moreau trainee, sent away at 15-1, pitched camp in the three-hole for Sylvain Filion through :28.2, :56.3, and 1:24.3 splits. After dropping back in the third quarter, he closed the gap and slid out behind pocket-sitter Private Scott (Jonathan Drury). Rock And Twist found his best stride in the last 1/16th of a mile and sprinted clear for the victory in 1:53.3. Mach Art In Motion (Louis-Philippe Roy) kicked in late despite being parked the mile and got up for second in a big effort. Private Scott finished third.

ROCK AND TWIST REPLAY

The win put Rock And Twist the six-digit earnings territory for a total of $108,205. The six-year-old has won 18 of his 77 starts. He has been racing at Ontario’s B tracks since August 2022. Sheldon Rose of Thornhill owns the gelding.

Mach Art In Motion and I Ama Rocket (Travis Cullen) were claimed from the race.

Woodbine Mohawk Park resumes racing on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 7:00 p.m. EST.
