The Prince County oval has 15 dashes scheduled for a 6 P.M. opening post time with the $5,250 featured pace lining up in race 14.

Air Force Hanover is the 5-2 morning-line favourite from post 6 for driver Gilles Barrieau, trainer Ronald Matheson and owner Woodmere Farms of Marshfield. The 10-year-old son of Somebeachsomewhere has won his last two starts in identical 1:53.4 miles at Red Shores Charlottetown.

Merigo Magic is the 7-2 second choice from post 2 with trainer-driver Adam Merner for owners Mike May, Herman McQuaid and Derrick Cameron of Charlottetown. The 25-time winner was third in his latest two outings, including the $17,000 P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Series Gold final.

Bettor On Than Off has post 4 with Jason Hughes driving for Nova Scotia trainer-owner Daniel Romo. The 3-1 morning-line selection rides a four-race win streak at Truro Raceway into his Island debut.

The Post Time Picks side with Air Force Hanover to continue his winning ways.

“Air Force Hanover has been untouchable in his last two starts and now makes his first appearance over the Summerside oval. He possesses enough early speed to control his own destiny, so we expect Barrieau to put him in play and keep the streak alive.”

The Classifier’s Choices are Air Force Hanover at 5-2, Bettor On Than Off at 3-1 and Merigo Magic at 7-2.

The card also includes a pair of $6,000 P.E.I. Colt Stakes Graduate Series Grassroots divisions.

Big Pond Cash is favoured from post 4 in the first Graduate Series split in race 7. Paul Langille drives the Earl Watts trainee for owners Matt and David Burke and Ryan and Everett MacLeod. The four-year-old enters off a front-end victory in 1:55.3 at Red Shores Charlottetown. Howmac Exclusive (To be driven by Corey MacPherson) and Rosiesmightymoe (Barrieau) are the other top selections.

Race 12 has Starship Glyde as the 5-2 morning-line favourite from post 5 for driver Adam Merner, trainer Watts and owner Windemere Farms of Springvale. Bettim Alive (Jaycob Sweet) and Good Omen (Langille) complete the top three choices.

McLovin is the Post Time Picks’ most probable winner of the evening in race 3. MacPherson will guide the 5-2 favourite from post 7 for trainer Jared Perrot and owner James Perrot of Stratford. The three-year-old has won four of 13 starts this season and was beaten just a neck in 1:55.2 in his latest assignment.

Driver MacPherson enters the program three wins shy of 2,000 lifetime as the Vernon River native sets his sights on the career achievement.
