Hanover Raceway will host a Winter Handicapping Contest starting Thursday January 7th. Teams of at least two players will select a horse in 10 races from the eligible harness racing tracks competing that night, and the team with the most virtual dollars based on the horse finishing first or second will win.

There will be weekly prizes courtesy of Woodbine Entertainment and prizes for the top three overall Teams courtesy of HDTV in Hanover and Walkerton, OLG Slots at Hanover Raceway and Hanover Raceway Simulcast.

GM Gord Dougan says up to twenty teams have competed in the contest in the past and he's looking forward to a great competition again this winter. The contest will run for 8 weeks and the rules are listed on the Hanoverraceway.com website under Winter Handicap Challenge.

The contest starts at 7:00pm each Thursday night for 8 weeks starting Thursday January 7th.
