Veteran Twin B Tuffenuff chasing 55th career victory

SUMMERSIDE, PE – After taking on some of the finest pacers in Atlantic Canada throughout the season, Twin B Tuffenuff (Rock N Roll Heaven) will look to return to the winner’s circle Tuesday evening at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

The Prince County oval has a 13-dash presentation starting at 6 P.M. with the $7,150 Preferred 2 Pace taking centre stage in race 12.

Twin B Tuffenuff is the 5-2 morning line favourite from post 5 with Gilles Barrieau in the bike for trainer Ron Matheson and owner Patrick Morris of Charlottetown. The 11-year-old son of Rock N Roll Heaven has three wins and five seconds from 19 starts this season with $30,458 in earnings. He was second to Arbitrage Hanover in his latest outing on Oct. 18 at Charlottetown after competing in the $50,000 Premier’s Cup on Oct. 10.

The veteran pacer has banked $860,304 lifetime with 54 career victories.

Malevolent (To be driven by Paul Langille) is another top contender from post 2 while Freemans Legacy (Jaycob Sweet) has post 6 after winning the $6,600 feature at Summerside on Oct. 27. Sweet also handles the training duties of the nine-time seasonal winner.

Sauble Attack (Ken Murphy) has rail control for trainer Paul Biggar while Brookdale Johnny (Corey MacPherson) and Fast Louie (David Dowling) complete the six-horse field.

The Post Time Picks likes Twin B Tuffenuff to get the job done in the featured event.

“Twin B Tuffenuff has been battling some of the toughest pacers in Atlantic Canada all season and gets a much more favourable assignment here. He was a strong second to Arbitrage Hanover in his latest outing and has proven he can compete with the best on the East Coast. With Barrieau back in the bike and a class edge over most of this field, we think the veteran gets back to the winner’s circle in Summerside.”

Malignity is the 5-2 morning line favourite in race 9 with Paul Langille handling the driving and training duties for owner Rosanne Langille of Lower Onslow, N.S. The six-year-old son of Malicious has 36 career victories and $230,384 in lifetime earnings. His chief competition includes Doncic (Ken Murphy) from the rail and Howmac Maximus (Jeremy Baker) from post 5. Howmac Maximus enters the race riding a three-race winning streak at Summerside for trainer Grace Sorrie, including a 1:56.2 victory in his latest outing.

Captain Highliner is the top choice in race 7 with David Dowling driving the post 5 starter for trainer Mike Ramsay. St Patricks Morn (Keith Legge) and First Glance (Murphy) are other top contenders.
