Tioga Downs hosting $1.6 million NYSS Championships

Nichols, NY— The state’s premier harness racing championship finals are at Tioga Downs Casino Resort & Racing in just a few short weeks. The event will take place on Saturday, September 10 with a special 1 p.m. start time, allowing horsemen and their families ample time to enjoy all the Finger Lakes region has to offer.
Horsemen from far and wide are invited to take part in the Sire Stakes Day of Champions, which brings together the best Standardbreds New York State has to offer. Tioga Downs will give horsemen and their guests special rates on hotel, golf, and spa services. All horsemen can make reservations and take advantage of a 50% discount in the County Fair Buffet on Friday, September 9. Additionally, all horsemen are invited to an exclusive brunch on PJ Clarke’s Patio on Saturday, September 10 at 11 a.m.
The matinee card will feature eight races for the best state-bred two- and three-year-olds, competing for purses of $200,000 each and over $1.6 million total.
