Three Ohio Sires Stakes 2YO champions by Summa Cum Laude

The Somebeachsomewhere horse Summa Cum Laude, whose frozen semen is available ‘down under’ from Tourello Standardbreds, left three winners of $50,000 finals of the Ohio Sires Stakes for two-year-olds at Scioto Downs on Saturday (September 6).

I’llbetyourboots, a two-year-old colt, led for the last half and set a new lifetime mark of 1:51.8 winning his division. He has now won five of his eight starts and $161,460 in stakes.

The Summa Cum Laude fillies Shacarri (1:53.6) and Laude Da (1:54) both won their divisional finals.

Shacarri has won four of her seven outings for $134,075.

Summa Cum Laude’s two-year-olds have banked over $1.1 million. He is currently the leading first crop sire in North America.
