R Melina (Chapter Seven) is the type of horse that is difficult to evaluate from appearance alone. But after leading all 3-year-old female trotters in earnings last season, and ranking as the division’s co-fastest harness racing performer, it is clear there is more to her than meets the eye. “She’s a hard horse to judge,” […]
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — After a third-place finish behind harness racing divisional standout Jiggy Jog S in the $112,500 Six Pack on June 29, Tactical Mounds (Tactical Landing-Mounds) surged back to the winner’s circle with a scintillating 1:49.4 lifetime-best mile and her second victory in the Miss Versatility, capturing the $40,000 fourth preliminary leg of […]
Call Me Goo (Googoo Gaagaa-Callmemza) spent her formative years racing in the Maryland Sire Stakes, but after winning five times last year on the Grand Circuit and opening this harness racing season by erasing a 21-year-old track record at Rosecroft Raceway, it is easy to see why her connections are excited about discovering the 4-year-old […]
Favored M-M’s Dream (Swan For All), parked most of the mile, was too good for her harness racing rivals as she powered her way to victory in the $90,000 Miss Versatility at Delaware County Fair on Thursday afternoon (Sept. 21st). In winning for the 25th time in 31 starts, M-M’s Dream was forced to do it […]

Last year, the Nifty Norman-trained Bella Bellini won nine […]
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – The Meadowlands won’t merely offer the best harness racing anywhere this Friday (May 5) and Saturday (May 6) night, because that wouldn’t be enough given the enormity of the weekend. The Big M will offer a pair of 14-race programs that will get underway at 6:20 p.m. The Saturday night program […]
There were three special undercard harness racing stakes at the Meadowlands Saturday (July 30) in addition to the Hambletonian and Oaks elimination races. The 7th race $61,800 Tompkins-Geers Stake for three-year-old pacing colts saw Mad Max Hanover (Always B Miki) and driver Tim Tetrick take the early lead away from Early Action (Brian Sears) and […]
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — When Dovescry (Muscle Hill) was a confident and largely unchallenged harness racing winner in the $40,000 third leg of the Miss Versatility Series, for trotting mares, on Saturday night (July 16) at the Meadowlands. The race was billed as a showdown between When Dovescry and Atlanta — the sport’s older distaff […]

The harness racing series is for older trotting mares. The 10th race second division saw Herculisa and driver Dexter Dunn leave first over the […]
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – By definition, an epicenter is something negative, but bettors can turn another Epicenter – a 3-year-old Thoroughbred – into a big-money positive should he win the biggest race of the year on the horse racing calendar, as the 148th running of The Kentucky Derby highlights a gigantic Saturday of wagering at […]
