Exciting gelding Verbici (Orlando Vici) maintained his unbeaten harness racing record with yet another wonderful performance in the $75,000 Steel Supplies Nutrien Series Two year Old Trotters Final at Wagga on Saturday evening. The race didn’t really turn out as most pundits expected when Verbici didn’t go to the lead as most had presumed. Instead […]
Chris Lang knows what a star trotter looks like. The decorated horseman has trained some of Victoria’s best of the modern era like Sundons Gift, Skyvalley and Let Me Thru, who helped him become the “King of trotting” at the time. After a hiatus from the game, he’s been back in training ranks and building […]
It was a relieved Chris Lang after his star trotter Ollivici (Orlando Vici) returned to the harness racing winner’s stall in the $24,000 City Of Melton Trotters Free For All at Melton. Ollivici, who hadn’t saluted since winning a heat of the Inter Dominion Trotting Championship last December, was a $2.80 second elect behind Im […]
The decision by Chris Lang to remain patient mid race paid dividends when Ollivici (Orlando Vici) outstayed his harness racing rivals in the Kilmore Trotters Cup. Deemed a match race between the 30 metre backmarkers, Ollivici ($2.50) settled at the rear of the field following the helmet of Greg Sugars on the $1.90 favorite One […]

Fortunately, however, there’s another Hall of Fame member of the Lang dynasty that continues to astound. For decades, Chris […]
It was a fitting result in harness racing’s inaugural The Lang Trot Final at Geelong on Saturday night (Oct. 22) as Rogue Gentleman (Majestic Son) smashed the Beckley Park track record with a brilliant front-running display. The performance secured a special success in the race for trainer-driver Chris Lang, the son and brother of the […]

And both are on […]
With one big scalp claimed at Tabcorp Park Melton on Saturday night (Aug. 20) harness racing’s Chris Lang revealed he was hungry for more with Giveitatry (American Ideal), who surprised with a stoic win over Catch A Wave (Captaintreacherous). The latter, a beaten $1.25 favourite in the TAB Vicbred Championship heat, hit the front in […]
It was love at first sight for Chris Lang and Kiwi-born harness racing trotter Ollivici (Orlando Vici). Lang remembers the day he first saw Ollivici at the yearlings sales in Christchurch in 2019. “I wanted him as soon as I saw him,” he said. “I really thought he was impossible to fault. He looked great […]
She’s lived in the shadow of some more high-profile stablemates through the early part of her harness racing career, but Treachery showed she is a star in her own right with a brilliant win in Saturday night’s Allied Express Richmond Lass at Melton. The Emma Stewart-trained pacer chased home a string of top rivals through […]
