StandardBred | Southland Episode 2

The Breeders have been looking at ways through which we can better showcase our harness racing sport, industry and horses to New Zealand and the world.

Following on from our visit to Southland, we took the cameras to the PGG Wrightson Ltd Yearling Sales in Christchurch to experience the highs and lows attributed with selling yearlings.

From conception, to foaling to walking into the sales ring.
The preparation & planning of 2 1/2 half years culminates in a matter of minutes for vendors selling livestock, with the outcome decided by the rise and fall of the auctioneers hammer!
