The holiday gift of a $10,000 donation for the Standardbred Retirement Foundation (SRF) was received today.
The anonymous harness racing donor, who so generously helped when he heard of the SRF's year-end deficit, prompted the generosity of others when he offered a match challenge.
SRF is very grateful for the warm and generous giving by those who care. The population of horse lovers in the world is not a large one and with harness racing experiencing a decline, raising funds is not easy for SRF. SRF has 218 under its complete care; no other Standardbred organization cares for that many horses. The 28 year old non-profit extends its heartfelt gratitude to all for their wonderful support. Recognition will be in SRF's next newsletter publication.
