Talented Captaintreacherous colt Petracca has written his name amongst harness racing’s record books at just his fifth start.

That is the equal-fastest 400m ever seen at that venue with top class pacer Cash N Flow also recording that scintillating sectional in a victory.

Petracca led from start to finish to hold off his stablemate First Responder to win the 2300m qualifier in a rate of 1:59.3.

He has now won four of his five starts to date with his only defeat a third placing in the Group 1 Gold Crown Final.

PETRACCA REPLAY

The victory gave trainer Emma Stewart a double at the meeting with her Art Major colt Major Celebrity winning the other Nutrien Equine heat for two-year-old colts and geldings.

Major Celebrity also led throughout and clocked 1:56.5 and is now unbeaten in three starts.

The $60,000 yearling purchase The Locomotive (Muscle Mass) won the Nutrien Equine Mixed Sex Trot Prelude while Huntsville filly Scheming taking out the two-year-old fillies prelude.
