Dorsoduro Hanover

($160,168 – 1:50.1)

M. Kakaley, R. Burke

Burke Racing, Silva, Purnel & Libby, Weaver Bruscemi, Wingfield Five

Drew post 8 in the second of three North America Cup Eliminations, which take place Saturday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Burke: “He’s drawn outside and will have to be put in play. You can’t sit ninth or 10^th. Those horses are all too close in terms of ability to do that.”

Last Race: 5/28 – PcD – Pa All-Stars – 1st (1:50.3)

2

Lost In Time

($633,563 – 1:50.1)

S. Zeron, J. Takter

Diamond Creek Racing, J&T Silva,

W. Rufenacht, Ric Flair Stable

Finished second as the 4-5 favorite in his division of the Somebeachsomewhere last week. What happened? Zeron: “He’s fighting the head pole and I couldn’t get him through the turns. It was pushing up against his neck really hard. We’ll take the head poles off and I think he’ll be perfect.” (NA Cup Elim 3, Post 1)

Last Race: 6/2 – Wbsb – Somebeachsomewhere – 2nd (1:51.1)

3

Stay Hungry

($542,414 – 1:50.2)

D. McNair, T. Alagna

B. Grant, I. Samelman

Trainer opted to qualify at the Meadowlands with Lasix added so he can stay on the diuretic for the NA Cup (Elim 1, Post 3). Alagna: “He qualified well.” The numbers back that up: He closed in :26.2 and completed the mile in 1:49.1.

Last Race: 6/2 – M1 – Qualifier – 2nd (1:49.1)

4

This Is The Plan

($240,372 – 1:50.2)

T. Tetrick, C. Ryder

C. Ryder, R. Mondillo

One of only three horses in the Top 10 not heading to Toronto. Ryder: “The plan is for no North America Cup. Thought we might make more money concentrating on Pocono and the Hempt.”

Last Race: 5/28 – PcD – Pa All-Stars – 3rd (1:50.3)

5

American History

($82,023 – 1:49.1)

Y. Gingras, T. Alagna

Brittany Farms, M. Katz,

American History Racing

Drew post 7 in Elim 2. Last line was a spiffy 1:49.1 mile at Vernon. Alagna: “He is plenty fit for The Cup.” Will be making but his eighth lifetime start Saturday night.

Last Race: 5/28 – VD – NYSS – 1st (1:49.1)

6

Babes Dig Me

($107,447 – 1:52.3Q)

B. Miller, T. Alagna

B.J. Grant, J. Sbrocco,

J. Leblanc, In The Gym Partners

Drew post 4 in Elim 3. After racing in the Rooney, his trainer gave him the week off. Alagna: “I trained him Tuesday with American History. He’s good on a big track and drew a good post for his elimination.”

Last Race: 5/26 – YR – Art Rooney Final – 3rd (1:52)

7

Thinkbig Dreambig

($25,000 – 1:49.2)

Y. Gingras, J. Takter

Brixton Medical Inc., J. Fielding,

G. Anderberg, G. Falk

Will compete in a NW2 event at Pocono Friday. Made big news last week by winning in 1:49.2 in only his second career start. How he looks Friday certain to go a long way toward his Meadowlands Pace aspirations. Takter: “It’s possible he could be there.”

Last Race: 5/26 – M1 – Escort Final – 1^st (1:49.2)

8

Captain Deo

($26,017 – 1:50.2)

B. Miller, T. Alagna

Alagna Racing, J. Sbrocco, In The Gym Partners, Captain Deo Partners

Body-slammed a weak group at the Big M Saturday, but so impressed his connections, they decided to head to Toronto (Elim 1, Post 10) with the rest of the Alagna entourage. Alagna: “I thought the race at the Meadowlands was a good confidence booster. The win made the decision to go to Toronto a lot easier.”

Last Race:6/2 – M1 – NW2 – 1st (1:50.2)

9

Nutcracker Sweet

($173,357 – 1:50.2)

T. Tetrick, J. Takter

H. Taylor, Order By Stable, R. Lombardo

Did not have a great night in the Somebeachsomewhere, leading to the stretch as the 6-5 favorite before wilting and finishing 8^th. Comes right back in NA Cup Elim 2, Post 9.

Last Race: 6/2 – Wbsb – Somebeachsomewhere – 8th (1:51.2)

10

I’m A Big Deal

($110,344 – 1:50.2)

G. Napolitano Jr., C. Ryder

C. Henderson, R. Mondillo,

C. Ryder

The other RTTMP member from the Ryder barn is also not heading for Mohawk. Ryder: “Both of my horses are heading for the Meadowlands Pace and then after that, there are plenty of road trips.” Given the plethora of 3YO Colt Pacing Stakes opportunities, maybe he’s got something there.

Last Race: 5/28 – PcD – Pa All-Stars – 2nd (1:51.3)
