Racing for Prostate Cancer Returns to Club Menangle
Club Menangle and Harness Racing NSW are pacing for prostate cancer survival, donating $400 to Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) every time a horse wearing the No. 4 saddlecloth wins at Club Menangle this November.

The Racing for Prostate Cancer campaign will run across eight race meetings, including The TAB Eureka. Where possible, drivers of horses wearing the No. 4 saddlecloth will race in PCFA silks.
Club Menangle Chief Executive Officer Bruce Christison said the campaign had raised more than $15,000 in recent years through racing and the annual A Night at the Races with Big Sports Breakfast event.
“This year’s campaign coincides with the world’s richest pacing race, The TAB Eureka, allowing us to amplify the charity messaging on one of the biggest nights in harness racing,” Mr Christison said.
With one in five Australian men likely to be diagnosed in their lifetime, prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the country. Around 4,000 Australian men die every year from the disease, which can be effectively treated if detected early.
PCFA Chief Executive Officer Anne Savage commended Club Menangle, Harness Racing NSW and the racing community for backing men and families affected by prostate cancer.
“It can be tough for men to get out of the gates after a diagnosis strikes,” she said.
“Together Club Menangle and Harness Racing NSW are helping to drive home life-saving research, awareness, and support, so that no man has to face prostate cancer alone.
“We’ll be trackside at Menangle this November cheering for No. 4 and backing men and families.
“Every dollar raised makes a great difference,” Ms Savage said.
