PANOCCHIO, THREE CARRYOVER, PICK 4 GUARANTEE HIGHLIGHT SUNDAY POMPANO CARD
Pompano Park track record holder Panocchio will be in action on Sunday night (October 30) as the South Florida track presents a very classy Open Handicap for pacers.
Bettor’s should like the festivities, as well, as three carryovers and a Pick-4 guarantee are on tap to whet the appetite on the 12 race buffet.
Panocchio, off of two qualifying events, was up to the task in his fall debut at Pompano Park last week, repelling a serious challenge by Sing For Me George to score in 1:50.4 for Wally Hennessey.
Owned by Emile Johnson, Jr. along with trainer Jim Mattison, Panocchio has been installed as the 7 to 5 morning line favorite against Sing For Me George, second choice at 5 to 2. Winyard Hanover, Secretsoftheknight, No Bad Dreams and Here Comes William complete the million dollar field.
Pompano Park also has carryovers in their Pick-5 event covering races one through five, the Pick-6 encompassing races three through eight and their Super Hi-5, contested on the finale.
A $5,000 guarantee on the track’s Pick 4, covering races six through nine has also been installed for the Sunday night program.
Scheduled post time is 7:20 p.m.
