Photo First chases 4th straight win

Photo First has been featuring in the first place photo, winning at his last three harness racing starts, and reinsman Jacob Duggan believes the pacer can extend his winning streak to four in Hobart on Friday night.

Photo FirstTrained by Greg Scott, Photo First will contest the third race, a national rating 60-64 event over 2090m.

“I think he finds another winnable race,” said Duggan.

“He sat outside the leader when he won in Launceston (5 December) three starts ago, and then his next two he has raced away from the field late, and he is still a horse that is learning every start.

The six-year-old Village Jolt gelding’s past two wins have been in Hobart, the most recent on 4 January with Jacob in the sulky, where he led all the way.

“In front, he can get a bit lost on his own, but being able to race back in the field when they are running even times, he can get over the top of them late.

“The draw looks perfect for him (on Friday), it does look like there will be a little bit of speed there. I thought Iden Lady Lincoln could be the early leader, back to an easier race coming out of the country cups.

Another chance, according to Duggan, with his book of drives is Sue Nien, in race five.

“She was good first up over 2579m, she will take good fitness out of that, and she is coming back to her favourite trip (1609m).

The seven-race Hobart card commences at 17:29.
