South Yunderup horseman Corey Peterson has driven over 320 winners with almost $3 million in stakes and is regarded as one of the best of the younger brigade in Western Australia.

Last year Peterson broke new ground when he offered and sold his first yearling at the Australian Pacing Gold Perth sale, a Fly Like An Eagle colt out of the Bettor’s Delight mare The Achiever NZ.
“The colt is in work with Ryan Bell and he really likes him,” Peterson said.
The Achiever’s first foal is Manhattan Ruby, the winner of four races to date including the North Eastern Districts Derby at Northam.
“The Achiever is the first mare I’ve ever had,” Peterson said.
A Gloucester Park winner, The Achiever ranks as a half-sister to the superstar pacer and 20-time Group/Listed winner Minstrel, whose list of successes include the WA Pacing Cup twice, Fremantle Cup, Golden Nugget and a heat of the Inter Dominion.
Peterson, looking to repeat his 2025 success, is offering a neat, compact filly by the champion sire American Ideal out of the mare as Lot 346 at this year’s Perth sale.
Albany breeder-studmaster Stephen Woodcock has a single entry in the Perth sale in Lot 387, a filly by the Art Major stallion Renaissance Man and his only representative at the sale.
Renaissance Man, who stands at Woodcock’s Woodanookie Pacing stud, boasts a 75 percent winners-to-starters strike ratio and has left the winners of $3.3 million at an average of $44,000 per starter.
The filly is the second foal out of the Rock N Roll Heaven mare Lovely Larnie, a half-sister to five in 2:00 including the Group 1 WA Golden Slipper winner Aussie Reactor and the Group 2 Binshaw Classic victor Aussie Delight.
She’s from the same family as the Westsired 3YO Classic winner Americanbootscoota and the $100,000 earners Riverina Flash, Lot Twenty One, Capricorn Cruiser and Carla Clare.
