Pebble Beach colt brings strong pedigree to sale

Pebble Beach, the Breeders Crown champion and dual USTA/Canadian 3YO Pacer of the Year, is represented at the upcoming APG Adelaide Sale by a bay or brown colt offered by Kadina horseman Tyson Linke.

Pebble Beach’s yearlings have been in strong demand on both sides of the Tasman, and this colt brings plenty of depth on the dam side to match his sire’s growing reputation.

Linke’s colt, Lot 508, is out of former Listed Mermaid Stakes winner Reil Quick (Elsu), a remarkable racemare who was purchased for just $4,000 and went on to win 17 races. Her resume also includes victory in the Sweet Lou Classic Final — a win that earned Tyson Linke a free service to Sweet Lou. That mating produced Lou Lou Quick, a four‑time winner and Group 3 placegetter who is now at stud herself.

Reil Quick has also produced Quick Dip, who followed in her mother’s footsteps by winning the Mermaid Stakes at three.

The second dam Cobargo Lucy is a perfect producer — three foals, three winners — including the tough 16‑time winner Grinfaron. The third dam, Cobargo Doll (by Windshield Wiper), left the outstanding Remember May, a 37‑time winner with 33 of those victories recorded in North America.

This is the same family that produced Johnny Redcoat (20 wins) and Redcourt (52 wins), adding further strength to an already proven maternal line.

The colt is eligible for both Vicbred and Southern Cross.

The 2026 APG Adelaide Sale begins at 1pm this Sunday, with a parade at 11am.
