Prizgintas will lead attendees through the dairy industry's regional history, from its rise to prominence through its subsequent decline. Learn about New York City dairying, "swill milk" and how the arrival of the Erie railroad in Orange County became a catalyst for change. To illustrate his topic, Alex will be showcasing his collection of more than 200 milk bottles, a rare assemblage which earned him the National Association of Milk Bottle Collectors (NAMBC) Dannheim Emerging Leader Award for his work in promoting and preserving both the history of dairy farming and their milk bottles.
