Oh Its On lets fly with speed in Tatlow Stakes success

By Harnesslink ·

Talented youngster Oh Its On (Bling It On) was on his best behaviour with a devastating front running harness racing display to easily atone in this year’s edition of the Rod and Fran Fitzpatrick Tatlow Stakes at Menangle on Saturday night.

Initially prepared early in his career by Western districts trainer Michael Hardy Oh Its On recently went to Jason Grimson’s stable. Having his first start for Grimson at Albion Park Oh Its On went a scintillating 1.51.9 making him one of the fastest two year olds in the land.

But then next start in a heat of the QBred Triad he galloped out of the mobile, caught the field and went around to take up the running but the effort told and he weakened.

Last night Cameron Hart nursed Oh Its On out of the gate and he crossed over the inform Blissful Lover. Stablemate Hes A Dancer was rough in his stride early on before settling down in third and then eventually up outside the leader.

Oh Its On didn’t give any of his rivals a chance as he turned for home and careered away in the home straight to defeat Atomik Crunch by just over 13 metres with Blissful Lover every chance in third.

Driver Cameron Hart has a high opinion of Oh Its On.

He’s a very exciting young horse and such a lovely going horse when he get’s things right. And he’s showing he can put up pretty good miles for a two year old already. Just hoping his manners keep progressing.

He was awesome tonight so hopefully we can keep heading the right way with him. He’s owned locally. I’d say he’ll race through the Breeders Challenge series. I think that’ll be his next aim. The heats for that aren’t too far away I believe. So I think he’ll be right up to that series.

You only had to look at the field tonight and the Tatlow was a great field of well performed two year olds that have gone well earlier in the season. So for him to handle them the way he did its only promising signs for him.

Oh Its On ran 1.52.1 for the mile and by running his last two quarters in 28.4 and 26.4 seconds served notice that he’ll be very prominent if Jason Grimson attempts to set him for the Breeders Challenge.
